Father's Day

Being a father is truly a blessing. I don't mean to sound like I'm the perfect dad. I have and will make mistakes raising our children but I will always let them know that I love them. Even though right now we only have one beautiful girl I know  in the future we'll have another one.

My goal as a father is to respect and support my kids and their decisions. I believe that the cycle of life is to learn from mistakes that our parents might of made while raising us and try our best not…

My digital notebook is the new social network to go if you want to be inspired or connect with others, and to create a better life for yourself and everyone around you.

MDN was created as a free platform for you to use and share your experiences. Man's Best Friend

A man's best friend. That is the title of this post and I'm going to tell you why. Our english bulldog has a hereditary heart problem and I didn't know that until today when I took him to the vet for what I thought were stomach problems. I still remember when I went with my brother and a couple friends to pick him out. You see, my brother bought him a little over ten years ago. Mighty Xavier was my brother's dog, but I was there all the time when he was a puppy.…

Lomo Saltado

Here's a delicious dish from South America (PERU). If you ever get the chance try it it is truly amazing, especially if they use fillet mignon for the beef. You can also substitute chicken for the beef which is my favorite. You could even add extra vegetables such as summer squash, broccoli, and cauliflower to make a vegetarian version.

I was born and raised in Peru and this is one of our staple dishes. If you ever get the chance to visit a Peruvian or Latin American recipe, this…

Our Daughter's First Birthday

It's our daughter's first birthday and what a special day it is. Mother Nature has blessed us with snow today. The entire winter it has missed us but today we finally got some!!! It is hard to believe that one year has gone by. Time really flys! It is amazing how you can love someone so much, even when she was in her mother's womb I already loved her. I was very scared, as I'm sure every dad is, but everything went well. When she finally arrived it was magical. The fact that we created a life… Continue

A Leader

Here's part of an awesome article by the Editor in Chief Amy C. Cosper from Entrepreneur Magazine one of my favorites!

Great leaders do many things, but perhaps their most telling characteristic is a natural and authentic ability to inspire excellence while maintaining strength and a modicum of humility. These are the people who will lead you to success-in the battlefield or in the boardroom. The true reflection of a leader's ability is measure not only in a company's bottom line, but…

Keeping it real

When my wife and I started having the baby talk we wanted everything to be as perfect as possible. However, when our beautiful daughter was born everything went out the window. It seemed like an eternity but turned out to be only 5 hrs (and I say this with the utmost respect to my wife). I've never witnessed anything like it. To be there just trying to tell her everything is ok and that she's doing a fantastic job and feeling so helpless, it was truly physically and emotionally exhausting and I… Continue
